On our weekend getaway to Scottsdale, a winter escape from the cool temps of Northeast, we took a day trip to the Red Rock State Park in Sedona. We enjoyed the scenic drive winding around hills full of cacti ending up at the towering rock structures on the Red Rock Scenic Byway.
After driving around the park and multiple stopovers to capture the beautiful Bell rock and Cathedral rock in the backdrop we set off on foot on a short trail that took us down to Oak creek which flows through the park. We spent some time by the creek and as the sun started to go down we made our way back to our car.
The beauty of these magnificent red rock structures multiplies during sunset as the sun goes down it lights up the rocks beautifully.

There was a bit of chill in the air so, I paired this wide leg overall with a cream sweater and big silver hoops. To give a vintage vibe to my outfit, I tied a mini scarf around my head and accessorized with cream vintage sunnies. Although in the pics I’m wearing heels, I changed into my adidas sneakers for the trail and carried my heels in a bag ( Girl can’t live without her heels ;P)
We visited in the month of December and it was pleasant during the day but the temps drop fast after sunset. Famished after exploring the park, we made our way back to Scottsdale and stopped by an Italian restaurant on the way for some wine and pizza. We devoured the delicious funghi pizza and finished our meal with a wine cake topped with poached pears. A sweet end to our beautiful day trip!

Hey…Thank you so much babe! This place is unbelievably beautiful. I would definitely recommend it. We were there only for a couple of hours but if you are into hiking I would suggest dedicating a whole day!
Cheers
